THE FIGHT
AGAINST GLOBAL WARMING
In the absence of federal action, individual states are following
California's lead in adopting policies to bring cleaner vehicles to consumers.
Twelve other states have adopted California vehicle emission standards,
five others have gubernatorial commitments to adopt, and others are actively
considering adoption.
These states comprise more than forty percent of the new car sales market
in the U.S.
